Osteopathy in pregnancy

The changes of pregnancy can cause pain and discomfort to any expectant mother. Symptoms may include back, neck or joint pain, as well as other problems such as heartburn, headaches and pelvic pain.

This is often because the spine and skeleton are bearing a greater load, but in late pregnancy the situation can be worsened by the internal hormonal environment, pressure in the abdomen and the strains of juggling pregnancy with other home or career commitments.

Osteopathy is a gentle, safe and effective way to address the pain and discomfort associated with pregnancy and here at the Whitstable Osteopathic Practice we have been treating pregnant women for many years.

If you would like to find out how osteopathy can help you, then please call us on 01227 264655 to discuss your needs.
